Setting 15 - #Humour

From @SuperFail_Bot:

Unknown city – Pointed fingers – Staring faces – Hushed voices.

Quickened breath – Hesitant legs – Jangling tray – Slippery stairs.

Epic fall – Food in hair – Toothy Smile – Laugh everywhere.

Helping hand – Cheerful tones – Friendly students – Known the unknown.

From @SnehaMehra:

“You would be a successful joker! “. He thought it was a joke. Today as he retires, he’s proud that he was courageous to leave his dull job 40 years back and pursue his passion- bringing laughter with his silly but delightful antics. He wasn't just a humourous jester but a pathway for people to find happiness, even if momentary. His last show today and he starts like day one- “People! Let’s laugh it off!”

From @lonelycan:

"You're only good at making people laugh at you, else you're useless!", mocked his friends. He was used to it now! Walking through the lockers, he could still hear their satirical humor about his looks. Little did the fools know that they were the first of the world whom he entertained. Even though an MSc in electrical engineering, the world now acknowledges him as one of the top 50 comedians ever!

From @Kartik_Lunkad:

They giggled, not really laughed but just giggled. They could not understand how two tennis players could fail to win a match or refuse to lose a match for so long. Isner & Mahut weren’t famous men until they dueled for 11 hours to win a match. A sport can be nothing short of a war at times - only with satirical humor in it. Isner finally won that match. He celebrated appropriately, he collapsed.

From @crazyandhow:

Softly he curled the tuft of hair behind her ear. Looked her in the eye; intent and reassurance. A rolled tear gave way to a gentle smile. The one which melted him. She found joy around him, his company. "Thanks for being with me Aarav, you have always been the one for me. Why can't my boyfriend be like you; bastard. Atleast I will always have you as my friend." Aarav gave a hollow laugh and got her hot coffee.

From @kartikiyer:

‘Santa banta pakau jokes, Friends with facebook pokes,
9gag mystery, Tv show ‘khichdi’,
Heartiest laughs on non-veg talks, 3months stinking socks,
Golmaal and home alone, Full night on the phone,
Blackberry without querty, fuck studies lets party,
Drinking, gambling, smoking, Poker loser stripping…
Singing, dancing, jumping, beer and burping
Fridge lights ‘on-and-off’, fucking electric shocks!

What to write on humour,
I don’t have fucking clue….
My brain’s having tumour,
I’m going all blue!

lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala.

Setting 14 - #Revenge

From @lonelycan:
India rejoiced as it spread its free wings for the first time that
night. He was standing in the corner - smiling, silently reveling in
his victory. His petite frame never felt so taut, never did his breath
feel so light. Today, the last line in his journal entry was, "54
years back, they threw me out of a train. Today I have successfully
thrown them out of their most prized colony."

From @dbijal
At prom, they were voted the King and Queen. Alex and Sandra were perfect. But it didn't last.
Alex was the popular guy in high school. Rich, good looking, smart, athletic, charismatic and chivalourous. He was casanova who broke heart. Alex made his mission to make Sandra his arm candy.
Little he knew, Sandra had agenda of her own. She made this casanova fall in love with her. This was her sweet revenge.

From @SnehaMehra:
Waiting for him in the wedding gown, she gently touched her belly. It was perfect. Except that the wait was endless. She eventually learnt about his betrayal, but couldn’t stop thinking about him. Months later, she felt a kick-first sign of life inside her. This was the only way to end the agony of revenge. She smiled, as the sharp metal entered her body. She had finally rid herself of the last bit of him!

From @SamikshaAdukia:

In eyes of broken-heart, actions of cheated soul,
I am common, I am famous, you'll find me behold,
Envy-disappointment-hate shoo me out of their ring,
Negative-class they are, but damn! They are even inspiring,
I thought I was powerful, but power pities me too
Shows me I am fatal to the mind I enter into,
The victim may-may not die, his guilt dies for sure,
Forgiveness is rare, innocence is scarce, I destroy it all.

From @PrateekJain:

Jay was heading home after an exhausting day but something was still bugging him. He went home and turned off the lights. Sleep was eluding him for weeks. He thought revenge was supposed to ease up his emotional wounds. Instead it’s haunting him. He knows that she is not coming back ever and something inside him tells that he must go to her and ask her forgiveness. In the next moment he left the world.
From @crazyandhow:
Amit’s first reaction was to pick up the blade and barge in to the bastard’s home to kill him. Stab, stab the fuck out of him. See him writhing in pain for sleeping with his girlfriend. He will tackle the bitch later. By the time he knocked his door, it hit him that love soured in his relationship long back. When was the last time they laughed together? And why this revenge today then?

From @VishalVagabond:
Happiness on the sunday afternoon.  She was beaming finally. She had been trailing for the last one hour and now she was up for it. Ready to compete. AH HA !!!
So they thought this 8 yr old girl cannot do anything. *evil grin*
She looked around, who would be her next target. People looked back nervous, shaken by the unexpected.
The Game of Life. REVENGE – sue for damages. Her dad has to pay up !!!

From @Kshitij:

The college rejected Nidhi, it did not give her admission. They broke her heart into pieces and tore her dreams apart. Seven years later, Nidhi had become a psychological counselor. Unable to cope up with the increasing pressure in the classrooms, there were increasing suicides amongst students. The college was begging Nidhi to counsel their students. Nidhi would have none of it. Devoid of all sympathy, Nidhi rejected the offer. This was revenge.

Setting 13 - 'Around the corner'

From @lonelycan:
"Oh granny, stop worrying! I'm just going to Mars!", he said.
"Thats what I'm worried about dear!", She sighed. She couldn't stop
herself from wandering into memories where her grandfather narrated
what it was like to be the first man to the moon.
And here she was, amidst technology which took man to distant galaxies
and brought him back safely - everyday.
Man's long unaccomplished dream was now fulfilled. Mars was truly just
around the corner!

From @SnehaMehra:

“Useless!” thundered his father’s words in his ears. He remembered how he had left home that day with only his guitar and a backpack. In a flash he saw everything- his struggle, the agony of being away, the sleepless nights, the hardworking days, the audition, the father-son reconciliation and today the big show. He had shown that he had a dream and the capability of living it. Success, my dear, was just around the corner!

From @crazyandhow:

She loves me, just doesn't know yet. She is like this innocent child who takes her time. Sigh, what a fabulous love we share. Just her fucking family have an issue with me. Cops are no match to me, they shouldn't have been involved in the first place. I don't speak on the phone but she knows it me, her anger is because I am taking her away. I will soon. I always check what she's upto, I am always looking. I am always.....
From @VishalVagabond:

Rajesh looked back at his new name plate on the desk. CEO designation hadn't given him the euphoria he once thought. Success had a steep price to pay. He behaved too tough to cry, but its been the cliched for him - You might be at the top, but you will end up lonely there. Everything seems so behind him now; far away. Family, friends, love. None are around the corner anymore. They moved on.

Setting 12 - #Kiss

From @Shraddha_G:

He was weak & fragile by now as I saw him through the ICU glass window.

Doctors gave me a prep talk as he had only few minutes in this world.

Our daughter was standing at the corner praying for him.

Lying on the bed was a man who was my childhood love.

As I went near, he kissed me & said “I’m kissing my life goodbye”

He smiled & closed his eyes forever.

From @dbijal:

His hands were open to hug her. All he wanted was that she should walk in his arms. Waiting patiently, his eyes filled with tears of joy.
She took a step at time. Unsure but still trying.
Five steps and she stumbled. He rushed to her rescue. After he held her, she placed a small peck on his cheek and said "Thanks to you, I can walk again. I love you Dad."

From @NidhiGarimaGoyal:

Was she drowning? The pressure suffocated her. She clawed and kicked.
But the wind, the water, the force kept her pinned in place. The mouth
withdrew, and the roughened hand slapped her hard. ‘stop resisting you
fool! Your crippled frame is too damaged for any man. Be grateful
instead,’ said her brother-in-law. The strength to fight wooshed out
of her. The untrue words had been repeated often. And this was just
one time too much!

From @crazyanhow:

She looked at him with some sorrow. They weren't dating, but were best friends once. Something messed up between them. He had too many expectations and she never looked at him in any other way. He sounded sure, he did not want to be seeing her again. The coffee on the beautiful evening was his sudden goodbye. This is where they change paths, go their different ways. Unsure, whether it was good or bad. It was too late to matter any more. Aparna kissed him goodbye; their first kiss.

From @SamikshaAdukia:

They will be dead. Vicky and his 8 friends had mistakenly harassed the leather class- the biker’s girl., For Sunny, 80 miles/hour was not about distance. With Sonia sitting behind him, the pistol in his pocket and his targets clear- it was about attitude. Almost reached. Impulsively, Sonia moved forward to face him. She was disturbingly good looking. Nevertheless, Sunny rode like there’s no tomorrow. And there wasn’t one., A kiss in time saved nine.

Setting 11 - #Tears

From @NidhiGarimaGoyal:

The candles, the pasta, the wine and she , nothing had succeeded in
stopping him from walking away. It was just a date’;She didn’t love him. But she had hoped that he could remedy her past. She wanted to be held, be cuddled, be loved for once.
But no! He too had proved that she was not for any man…and no one was for her, except her unhealed wounds and her gushing tears.

From @SamikshaAdukia:

To which, Rayaan exclaimed “Ah, sticks & stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.”  Aisha loves to hear that. That’s a man.
Friday night, she meets her bestie, excited to talk about her new-found love.  They sit and she is still. She hears Rayaan’s voice from the table behind her. Soon, Sia, his ex, gets up and exasperates “Stop trying. It’s over.” Aisha turns back, looks at him; looks at them, flooding his eyes.

From @Shraddha_G:

She recollects how her in-laws blackballed her for killing their beloved son who had attempted to kill his baby “daughter” when asleep.

She remembers hunting for odd jobs that would help find shelter for her homeless kid.

“Don’t cry maa, I will buy a biiiiigggg house one day for us.” once said a 10 yr old girl then.

Tears of pride blurred her vision as she explored the newly bought row-house by her daughter today.

From @KartikIyer:

Demanding her rights, POOR girl said
‘pitaji, I don’t want to get married’
Just 19 I am, bold-bright,
I wish to excel, look what I drew.

On the canvas, was a phoenix,
With glittering gold aura
Brilliant sight, background blue,
Conveying beauty with power it flew.

In came a friend, with surety,
‘wow, this is worth 10lacs’,
Exhibition day, 23rd July,
‘Sold’ it was!
This is when her father couldn’t hold back his tears-of-joy!

From @crazyandhow:

Facccckkkkk. Scoundrel bastards. They deserve it. All of them; die biaatchhh die. Ugliness; Filth; I will wipe this out.

He rampages inside the high school red; hot in anger. Repression; Remorse; Racism; is coming out in its most bitter form.

Hatred in its purity. The darkness of human emotions.

Kim jong this time turns to his left towards the a group of 5 fellow students and aims the Stunner machine gun. The disturbed psychotic bullets tears their flesh to pieces; forever.

Setting 10 - #Goodbye

from @dbijal:

"Miss you, Mom" cries my heart,
With your thoughts only my day starts.
Last words are played in my memory,
Need you here, your soothing story.
Gone are those day of you looking over,
Now my life seems a lot slower.
Can't describe by words, the emptiness,
Goodbye to you and welcome loneliness.
Seeing mother with her child I realize,
God needed a mother which I possess.

from @ravivgolani:

"Excitedly, they went to the hottest restaurant in town for dinner and drinks. They recalled the hours spent together. They thought of their fights and how they managed to meet the impossible deadlines The feeling of being let down was mutual. Everyone had tears in their eyes and their voice choked. Goodbyes followed. They - to that all their hard-work. He – to the lost trust and disappointment."

from @KartikIyer:

‘Vegas baby Vegas’!!!

Tonight is the night he bubbled,
Virginity adieu, he mumbled,
Entering a casino to let go 20grands,
Made sure, chicks noticed all his brands.

Profit he made and returned with a girl,
Kissed-touched-moaned-swirled,
Tossing a pill in his drink, she smiled,
before things between them turned wild.

He became blank, still, red, numb,
She dressed as he felt dumb,
Passport on the table, wallet in his pants,
‘Goodbye sucker’, door slammed!

from @Shraddha_G:

“I am going to Canada tonight.  Can you come at the airport in an hour? I wish to see you badly; won’t you come to say Bye..?”

“Well I’m stuck up in an important meeting with my boss. I won’t be able to make it. You‘ll be back in a week. Catch you later.”
He said winking at his hot assistant in the hotel bed.

Her flight crashed.

He lost his chance to bid goodbye.
from @crazyandhow:

Vivek stared at the red yellow painted house one last time and turned around promising unsure never to look back; never to think about her. 3 yrs after they broke up, atleast he felt assured they had something good once. He spoke. She spoke. He will never love someone like that again. She was the one. He wished her best joys for her wedding. He bid adieu.

Setting 9 - #Rains

From @guruvrs:

As the sun was crawling down, dark grey clouds swarmed and the flashy umbrellas leaped towards the sky with joyful gaze as they welcomed the south west monsoon. All of a sudden it was pitch dark and my TV gazing had turned off to the transformers outcry. I wish i was in Kerala but I only have the luxury to dream of the rain sitting on my couch in Chennai.

From @dbijal:

Sun did not wake me up today. Instead a cloudy day greeted me. Sun playing hide-n-seek while winds blew my mind away.
After some time came the awaited rains.
First steps, first crush, first kiss, first salary may all be once in life time moments. But first rains is only one special moment which comes every year.
Simple moments like this with special people makes special moments with simple people in life. Read it again !!!

From @Shraddha_G:

I was staring at the leaking roof-top which was about to give away due to heavy rains.
I was worried as I wanted a better shelter than this small hut for my ill mother.
My labor wages weren’t enough to make both the ends.
I had to buy a new roof. How? I asked village Mukhiya for help again.
When I returned I saw the roof collapse.
Rains took away my mother & shelter.

From @DeliciousStrawberry:

‘Mom, you don’t understand. I love this and will wear it to college.’ Red and green with haughtiness.
‘ Listen to me once. What I am saying is……’
‘Bye.’ she slammed the door; hurriedly ran out.
Dark clouds crackled; it poured cats; it poured dogs.
16yrs old happy teen reached college; drenched; head to toe; pink cotton skirt and plain white tee.
Suddenly ogling horny boys around the corner made Noopur aware of her nakedness.

From @KartikIyer:

The peacock opened its fan,
Sky was super-sexy to stare,
As I opened a beer can,
Colourful it was everywhere.
Pakodas and bhajiyaas in the balcony,
With aromatic, hot Assam tea,
As I wonder about my next few months,
Where you pay the toll and get traffic jam free.
Wonderful weather it seems,
And Football is the sport to play,
Lost in my own romantic dreams,
At 1pm, on bed I still lay!
From @crazyandhow:

‘Rahul look, first rains. Wow. And it’s still May. The beautiful smell of wet earth. Let’s head out. ’
‘I will take you for yummy pakoras and piping hot tea. This respite from damn summer. I love unexpected rains. Brings happiness in life.’
Rahul and Seema enjoyed a splendid evening together.
 Rediscovering Bombay, monsoons, small joys.
Nathu, a cotton farmer cried in dismay. ‘Again failed crop; where do I go.’
These early rains in Vidarbha.

Setting 8 - #Paint

from @short_byte:

“We should have gone with the canary yellow.”

“And this is…?”

“Sunny yellow!”

“Of course. A whole different yellow.”

He ducked as she swished the brush at him.

“Or we could just ditch the yellow and wait a few months…we’ll know for sure then.”

He looked at her from the door.

“Don’t. Please.”

She dipped the brush into the can, pulled it out and stroked the wall with black.

from @Shraddha_G:

He was at his handsomest best with his Tuxedo on.
He smiled at me affectionately at the altar.
I still don’t believe I’m getting married.
From occasional peeks over the glass cabins, the awkward hi’s & smiles in the lift, to long chats over coffee, to falling in love again.
I almost forgot I was a 23yr old depressed widow with no one to call family.

He painted the blank canvas of my life.

from @VishalVagabond:

Passion. Cries. Disappointments. Triumph. Madness. I have lived this sport in my blood. Carried my love for my team up my sleeve. It was the night when everything in life came down to one moment. My years of obsession. Man-U. My first time at the mecca, at the stadium. I was painted red.

from @crazyandhow:

A good book can change the course of a young impressionable mind. A pen is ranked above many a mighty swords. Reality is dull, writers can walk you to new imagined worlds. Love. Lust. Hatred. Adventure. Mystery. Magic. Friends. Fictions; Characters; Landscapes; they make stories; stories for us to live; innumerable splendid and tough lives. A good writer paints with his words.

Setting 7 - #Drink

From @rumna:

They grew further and further apart, one living for sunsets, the other for sunrise. She knew liver cirrhosis was not hereditary, so what if almost every generation in his family had seen cancerous death. She watched him drown himself in the amber gold liquid each night and died a little herself, with pain and worry.

From @dbijal:
Cold winds on hot summer day is a rare possibility. So is my favorite drink. Though available all year round, it’s best in summer.
Thick, smooth, yummy, colorful, sweet and sour at same time. The ingredients used in this drink are on my top most list of favorite foods too.
Mango milkshake is best when its made out of fresh mangoes. Chilled milk, chunks of sweet mango and only best during 3 months. Cheers to summer!!!

From @Shraddha_G:

“Kids drinking alcohol is a bad... bad thing. It’s dangerous to your health.”

He said to his teenage twins.

“Dad when did you had your first beer?”

“When I was aa..eerr…rr…rr.. 35.. with your mom. Well as U know we drink occasionally.”

Flashback mode.

Summer of 1985. I was 15 & she 18. She brought 4 Jack Daniels!!

Both were uber excited.

We drank till we were almost knocked out & lost our virginity.

From @DeliciousStrawberry:
The dark alley at the club; Frenchie; deep and hard. His strong musk; rum filled breath; grunted like a beast on her. She had no control; or she did not want any. He lifted her skirt, buried his fingers. The beginning; a wilder night ahead.
Aakansha told Riya that she hoped she wasn’t silly last night; her memory is fazed. She remembered all her moans; her pleasure and blamed her drinks next day.

From @crazyandhow:
It’s about the solutions. Thinking, presenting and implementing the alternatives one can derive. Search one, will find plenty; those men who will point out the problem for you. What makes one different is looking beyond an existing problem and giving the right solution. Overcome; tackle; find out your way around the obstacle.
You can. Search your key. Just like that crow; thirsty; ignore shallowness of water in pot; use pebbles to get your drink.

From @VishalVagabond:
This is when you say the stories. The ones deep down hidden in you. The ones that prick you, the ones you cherish the most. The stories about your achievements and your failures. No moderation allowed. Extremisms; open your heart tonight. Heart which loves and heart which breaks. Memories. This is how best friends live and are made. Life is about friends; their stories and of course, all of this happens over cheers and drinks.
